· Cathy Poyner, Truman PBL Adviser, won the prestigious Outstanding Local Chapter Adviser of the Year Award. · 12 of the 14 Truman competitors placed in the top 5 of their respective events. 9 of the 14 Truman competitors placed high enough in their respective events to be eligible to compete at the National Leadership Conference this summer in Atlanta, GA. · Truman’s Parliamentary Procedures team placed 1st for the third year in a row. Four of the five members placed high enough on the Parliamentary Procedures written test to be eligible to represent Missouri at nationals. · Truman PBL earned the Gold Seal Chapter Award of Merit for the third year in a row; this is the highest honor a Missouri PBL chapter can receive. · Alicia Stewart from Truman State University was elected to the position of State Chapter Secretary for 2008-2009. Truman has had at least one state officer for the past four years.
